Rooted in Austin and currently based in Los Angeles, Chris Catalena is the definition of the “outlaw country-folk musician,” having been an actual outlaw who spent his 21st birthday in prison. This retired lifestyle breathes hopefulness into his music, with a more mature songwriting style. Catalena demonstrates his optimistic inspirations in the lead single off of his self-titled debut, “Little Thread”. He notions that building something beautiful can start from something small: “Never giving up hope of love, reminded me of my little grandma stitching her elaborate quilts, starting with the littlest stitch of the littlest thread.”

Want to be inspired from his performance? Catalena has a release show in celebration of his self-titled debut at the Cactus Cafe September 13th at 8 PM!
