Emily Wolfe at KUTX 2.27.14

Local indie singer-songwriter and guitarist, Emily Wolfe is a rising star, indeed. A recent graduate of Austin’s St. Edward’s University, the twenty-three year old has already managed to release two EP’s under producer, Mike Mccarthy (Spoon, Patty Griffin, Heartless Bastards, etc.) and get named ‘Artist to Watch by the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. In her brief career, the young talent has also been able to showcase incredible scope as an artist with songs ranging from soft acoustic singer-songwriter style to indie-rocker with catchy beats. It’s this versatility that has helped to garner Emily so much praise from the likes of the Austin Chronicle, the Austin Monthly, Paste Magazine, and more. If you haven’t had a chance to hear Wolfe yet, check out her latest EPs, Mechanical Hands (2013) and Night and Day (2013), and her latest single, “Swoon” below. You can catch her here Thursday February 27 at 2 p.m., or later that night at Lambert’s with Mighty Mountain. She’ll also be at this year’s SXSW music fest at Esther’s Follies March 13 at 11 p.m.!
