Grupo Fantasma is easily Austin’s go-to Latin funk jam band. One listen will reveal the variety of influences on this high-energy band, including rock, cumbia, salsa, and reggae. The band’s sound doesn’t limit itself there, however. Grupo Fantasma have an ability to adapt in collaborations with such acts as Los Lobos, KRS-One, Prince and (for those hip-hop heads who recall last year’s team up) GZA of Wu Tang Clan fame. Whatever the scenario may be, Grupo Fantasma are sure to nourish your need for funky, Latin-infused grooves!
