Kae Astra is an Armenian-American musician already making her mark in her home base of Austin with her 80’s nostalgia, haunting melodies, and lush dream-pop soundscapes. Besides her unique take on pop, what can one expect from her debut EP, Fortune? Astra simply says, “Expect to move and be moved.” The Armenian-turned-Austinite successfully stirs emotional and physical movement by creating a body of work that spiritually transcends while her rich pop synths are undeniably danceable. These songs could be heard in the club, a yoga class, or while having a good cry – and one would be equally satisfied no matter the setting.

Kae Astra caught up with KUTX host Taylor Wallace and played some songs off of her debut EP for our Concert Club before her release show on November 14th at The Pershing. Listen to the live performance below!
