Levitation festival is upon us, which means incredible bands like supergroup Mien, are coming to town. Before playing their show on Saturday at Stubbs alongside Survive and Slowdive, the band stopped by Studio 1A to perform a few songs from their psychedelic self-titled album. Mien consists of The Black Angels’ Alex Maas, Elephant Stone’s Rishi Dhir, The Earlies’ John-Mark Lapham, and The Horror’s Tom Furse. When asked about the inspiration for starting the group, Dhir told us simply, “We’re all music fans, and I love all these guys’ bands.” Melodious, intense, and dreamy all at once, this album will transport you to another planet.
