Oliver Rajamani and Jeronimo Maya 04.03.19

Oliver Rajamani has combined his influences from India and Texas, among many other regions, to create his own sound that he calls “Flamenco India”. He has spent a large portion of his life immersing himself in different communities to master a certain style of music, whether it was by living in Romani communities or playing in a jazz or rock band. A documentary called Flamenco India was recently developed to tell Rajamani’s story. He is joined by Spanish guitarist, Jeronimo Maya, who has flamenco roots and comes from a lineage of guitarists and vocalists. You can also access online guitar classes with from Jeronimo here. On Saturday, April 6th, they will be performing in KLRU’s Studio 6A, the original home of Austin City Limits. Scroll down to hear what went down in Studio 1A!
