Vapors of Morphine @ KUTX 05.28.2015

Vapors of Morphine continue to deliver that uniquely dangerous and seductive musical poetry.

The band is comprised of the remaining members of 90’s “low-rock” band Morphine – Dana Colley on baritone sax and Jerome Deupree on drums – with the addition of blues guitarist Jeremy Lyons on 2-string bass and vocals. Vapors of Morphine formed in 2009 when the group came together on the very stage where Mark Sandman had performed for the last time ten years prior. Harboring their trademark dark and masterful musicianship, creating a striking combination of jazz, rock, blues, West African influences, and a tinge of film noir intrigue, the band released the compelling The Ever Expanding Elastic Waste Band back in 2014.

Vapors of Morphine will be performing live at the Continental Club this Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th, and you can stream their music right here on KUTX.
