All this week, the Song of the Day highlights Fun Fun Fun Fest 2015 artists.
A few years ago, Broncho swept down from the Oklahoma plains like, well, a bronco-strength wind. The band’s mix of punk, power-pop, and snotty garage rock is about the last thing you’d expect straight outta Norman, but there’s the charm: they’re a bunch of outsiders playing like their lives depend on it.
Broncho’s musical standout is “Try Me Out Sometime,” a fizzy, fuzzy rock and roll banger that always leaves the biggest grin on my face every time I hear it. The band stopped by our Studio 1A a few years ago and capped off their live set with a raucous version of the song, and you can download it below.
