After eight years and an iconic reunion, Scott Kannberg is back with another Spiral Stairs record! Best known for providing guitar and vocals in the legendary ’90s indie-rock outfit Pavement, Kannberg first made his solo debut as Spiral Stairs in 2009 with The Real Feel. The following year Pavement reunited for a one-off tour, and though prospects for another potential reunion came and went – Kannberg ultimately had the better half of a decade to hone his craft as a solo songwriter. The Spiral Stairs sophomore album, Doris & the Daggers was released back in March through longtime Pavement label Matador Records – check out the live rendition of the second track, “Emoshuns” – as performed in our own Studio 1A!
