Who doesn’t yearn for a little more? Sure, it’s all humbling to be grateful for what you have in the moment, but who said a girl can’t dream for more? Tess Clare certainly does not, nor should she–she’s just getting started. Last year’s breakout single “Never Be A Boy” reached #1 on the Grammy’s 2024 Pride Month Playlist and, to boot, she’s received personal praise from Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan.
Her new single “Never Not Gonna Want More” is “a restless pop confessional for the dreamers who don’t want to sit still.” Her haunting, brandy-tinged vocals work in tandem with the bold piano (not keyboard) chords before kicking into full pop girlie paradise. But those powerful, siren-like, vocals will keep you hitting repeat.
