Although only releasing his first album this July 22nd, Bobby Patterson is no stranger to blues music. Patterson, native to the Dallas area, began his career as a musician at the early age of ten, playing the drums and guitar. As a teenager, Patterson formed a band called the Royal Rockers which won talent competitions around the Dallas area and even recorded an album for Liberty Records. However, Bobby Patterson’s experience spans far past just being a blues musician, he also has dabbled in songwriting, producing, promotions, and owning his own label. Make sure not to miss this legend of a soul-blues vocalist and multi-instrumentalist when he comes to Austin to play live in Studio 1a on August 21st before his CD release parties at C-Boys on the 22nd and 23rd.
