Fairbanks & The Lonesome Light have brought their sweetly authentic sound back to Austin and boy are we excited. The band grew from the backyard efforts of front-duo Erik Flores and Amelia Rose Logan; who moved to Echo Park and developed their sound in the artistic, rough-around-the-edges LA community. Since forming the group has expanded to a five-piece outfit and moved back to Austin. Fairbanks & The Lonesome Light manages to walk the line between indie rock and classic Americana. Their latest release Nothing to Escape showcases their emotionally-wrought, musical storytelling. Thick with he/she harmonies, pedal steel and assorted strings the album covers everything from addiction to parenthood. The tracks are earnest and authentic tales wrapped up in a dreamy folk.
