Revel in the razor-tongued, indie-pop-tinted sounds of local “dawlins” Go Fever. Sometimes waxing more surf-rock and other times more new wave, Go Fever have taken a potpourri of influences and spiced it with their own brand of sonic bite and lyrical chutzpah to create a sound that neither replicates nor reinvents…it’s just awesome. In fact, we left the off-air portion of the taping intact, so you can fully catch the contagious affability of the Fevah. Following a bit of a line-up re-hash to allow frontwoman Acey Monaro to focus all of her energy on being a frontwoman, the now six-piece continues their legacy of sunny sounds slipping off a sharpened tongue with their Daydream Hawker EP, out February 1st. KUTX presents Go Fever’s album release show Saturday, February 2nd at Cheer Up Charlie’s with Being Dead, Hong Kong Wigs, and Hard Proof.
