Jose James uses his massive knowledge of jazz, and blends that with R&B to make a smooth easy listening albums. James attempts to shed his label as a “jazz singer” and branch out to a more R&B sound, his latest album was a collaboration with French-Moroccan singer Hindi Zahra shows Jame’s true versatility. Though he has changed the direction of his music you can still hear the influences of his jazz eduction.
