Austin-based fiddler and vocalist Katie Holmes has made her own fame since declaring that she wanted to play music people could clap their hands and stomp their feet to at the age of six. Following an infatuation with the fiddling culture in Fort Worth, Holmes moved to Austin in 2008, where she has since collaborated with big names like George Strait and Willie Nelson. Holmes’ vocals and fiddle are now prominently featured in Asleep at the Wheel as well as the Katie Holmes Project, attracting acclaim across the nation.
Holmes is now gearing up for a tour in anticipation of the release of her solo record Fall Away as well as Asleep at the Wheel’s latest album.
