Not in the Face at KUTX 1.9.14

Not in the Face started as two friends in Austin, Texas. They covered classic R&B songs and rock ‘n’ roll anthems just for kicks. The pair admits to starting as a joke with the intent of just rocking out, but their quick success lead them to take their musical careers more seriously. The duo added two more band members and in three years they’ve gone from an unknown garage rock band in Austin to touring with ZZ Top and booking big name festivals like Austin City Limits. In 2011 the band released their first LP Bikini. It received critical acclaim, and we ranked it in our Top Ten Albums of 2011. By 2012, Not in the Face released a four-song EP called Walk, and last year the band got to work with legendary producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Taylor Swift) and co-producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, The Jesus Lizard, The Melvins) on their upcoming album. Lovers of Queens of the Stone Age, A Giant Dog, Gringo Star, and Buckcherry are sure to get their kicks from Not in the Face. Check out the band’s live studio performance at KUTX January 9, 2014 RIGHT HERE!
