Sophia Glimson will once again dazzle audiences with her piano and harpsichord prowess on October 11th with her performance of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations.
Her 2001 performance of The Goldberg Variations, often considered the most ambitious harpsichord piece ever written, earned Glimson the Austin Critics Table’s Mount Everest award. The Austin-American Statesman hailed her musicianship as “refreshing and thought-provoking.”
In addition to performing, Glimson also works as the associate professor of piano at The University of Texas’ Butler School of Music.
