Members of the KUT advisory board have pooled resources to create an $11,083.50 challenge grant to cover 12 hours of our operating expenses.

That’s right. We broke down the costs of operating KUT 90.5 and KUTX 98.9 for 24 hours – from maintaining the broadcast towers to paying for programs like Morning Edition, Marketplace and The World, to producing original programs including StateImpact Texas, Agenda Texas, our daily newscasts, and the diverse, local music programs. The grand total comes to $22,167 to operate KUT and KUTX for 24-hours.
