Living legend Diana Ross is turning 80 on Tuesday! The Detroit-born diva has earned numerous #1 hits, Grammy nods, an Academy Award nomination, and too many other accolades to mention. Not bad for a young singer who came from Detroit’s Brewster-Douglass Housing Projects that was built for the “working poor”.

Let’s celebrate her and other very successful musical artists WHO CAME FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS.
