Sylvan Esso could be called a happy accident. The duo started as a collaboration of Amelia Meath, of Mountain Man, and Nick Sanborn, Made of Oak, on a single remix of Meath’s folk track “Play it right.” The outcome was so compelling the two decided to continue working in tandem. The dynamic pair released their first full length album, in May of this year. This self titled album has already been recognized as one of the best of the year thus far. Sylvan Esso is currently embarking on their first International tour, and will be at Emo’s August 17th.
