Something Beautiful: Sinéad O’Connor in Conversation with Jody Denberg 2007

Jody Denberg in Conversation with Sinead O’Connor 2007

Oh mercy. So saddened to hear of the passing of one of the rock era’s greatest singers, Sinead O’Connor. Right from the start with “The Lion And The Cobra” LP it was obvious that Sinead was a one-of-a-kind artist. Many of us have great memories of her work; for me, in 2007, interviewing her for this CD that accompanied her incredible “Theology” album was a career highlight. She was wearing just a dressing gown and slippers when we got a bite at the Wendy’s across the street while we waited for our studio time at XM in D.C., then Koch’s Chuck Oliner and myself drove her to Baltimore. She sat in the back and told stories and chain-smoked. Later that year when she toured she played Hogg Auditorium on the UT Campus and we laughed about our day and she signed this CD for me. We loved you, Sinead. I hope you are at peace.
