To call singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn prolific would be an understatement. The folk/rock musician has recorded more than 24 albums worth of material throughout his nearly five-decade long career, and that’s only counting his solo work. His songs cover all matter of topics, from tunes with progressive humanitarian messages, to more comedic numbers lamenting over waiting on someone to call him back. Whether it’s love, comedy, protest or spiritual discovery, the subject matter doesn’t matter to Cockburn. What matters is writing songs about the truth found in human experiences.
On Friday, Bruce Cockburn will play two shows at the One World Theater. He also stopped by KUTX recently to record a quick live session with us. Listen in to hear his session with host Jody Denberg!
