The Austin Music Minute is supported by Howler Brothers, an Austin-based designer of creative outdoor apparel since 2011, and by Planet K, Austin’s local hemp emporium since 1990.
It’s soul running on a different frequency, powered by hundreds of backyard parties. LA-based quartet The Altons captures the sounds of Southeastern LA, built on a foundation of soul styles and Latin grooves.
“You can’t escape music in my area,” lead vocalist Adriana Flores told Atwood Magazine last year. “Neighborhoods seem to be buzzing with their favorite genres. It helps shape my creative output due to immersion. This is what I was like growing up here – buzzing and infectious.”
Don’t miss The Altons tonight at Antone’s. LA duo Introverted Funk opens the show, and spins are provided by Austin’s fabulous DJ Raquiqui. Doors at 7 p.m.
