It makes sense that the Perfect Life Presents partnership came into being, at least from an artist’s perspective. Founders Dustin Zozaya of Austin-based band Holy Wave and Jeremy Katz of LA band Froth understand the importance of creating an unforgettable live music experience. Both are attuned to the connection between performer and listener. Both are in bands that offer not just music, but a visual excursion adding an extra dimension to the experience.
Perfect Life Presents states their goal is to curate live music events at unique, uncommon venues, “to create an environment that leaves a lasting impression on everyone, artist and patrons alike.” It looks as though they’re off to a great start with their debut event tonight featuring a rare performance by Japanese psych outfit Kikagaku Moyo at the Scottish Rite Theater, 207 W. 18th St. Local bands Soft Healer and Hidden Ritual get the night started out.
This is gonna be a trip. Far out. Recommended.
