All of This Will End

Indigo Souza appreciates the ridiculous, all too temporary nature of life. Live it now.

AMM March 27 2024

Indigo de Souza performs Thursday at Mohawk, with Humbird.

Once upon a (mercifully brief) moment, Indigo de Souza found herself in midst of a toxic situation with an idiot. He was a manipulative and abusive person. But when Souza realized she didn’t have to allow people like this into her life, it was like a new dawn, or recognizing a superpower that was there all along. That’s essentially the story behind “You Can Be Mean,” today’s AMM-featured track from All of This Will End. The album’s palpable exhilaration is like an invitation to shoot for the stars. Life’s a temporary blip on the universe’s radar, so appreciate what little time is left. That is to say, Souza is owning her pain and calling out the idiocy. Don’t hold back.

Souza will be in Austin for a performance tomorrow night, Thursday March 27, on Mohawk‘s outdoor stage. Doors at 7:30 p.m., and opening the show is Minneapolis-based Siri Undlin‘s experimental folk project Humbird, whose new album Right On is out April 12.

On the hardcore side, take in the show on Mohawk’s inside stage with ATX sludgemongers Slam Pig, plus BOSH, Stoned Dakota, and San Antonio grindcore crew Noisy Neighbors. Doors for this show at 8 p.m.
