Who: It’s an Austin Music Minute favorite. Young Tongue was formed by husband-and-wife Liz and Stu Baker in 2014, after performing for six years with their band as The Baker Family. Their full-length debut, Death Rattle, far more vibrant than the title might suggest, flows across a broad spectrum of prog and dreamy, magnetic, percussion-driven pop.
What: Young Tongue is headlining local promo outfit Glitter Tribe‘s fabulous 1 Year Anniversary Party.
When and where: It all happens tomorrow night at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St., and Young Tongue shares the bill with Burgess Meredith, Runners High and The Cuckoos. Doors open at 8 p.m., and it looks as though the champagne, cupcakes and glitter will be flowing. Best to arrive early. Recommended.
