Must-see ACL Fest sets, the awesomeness that’s Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta, and even more shows. Damn.
There’s a lot on your to-do list tonight, whether you’re out at Zilker Park or tearing it up at Sagebrush. Here are more recommendations from the AMM. Go for it.
- If you’re at ACL Fest tonight, Khruangbin plays at 6:20 p.m., and JUNGLE is on just after 7 p.m. Later, slip into the Lucid Stream with producer Derek Vincent Smith‘s Pretty Lights, or embrace the Radical Optimism of Dua Lipa.
- Tonight’s ACL Fest Nights shows include Melbourne trio Glass Beams at Emo’s.
- The party don’t stop at Sagebrush whenever the Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta takes over. It’s their 15th annual shindig with Jean Caffeine and Male Order Brides, Billy Bremner’s Rockfiles, The Ghost Wolves, your favorite cow punks Hickoids and more. Doors at 5 p.m. Get crazy. Scare the locals.
- Very cool show at Hole In the Wall tonight with Glasshealer, Drook and Felt Out. And keep checking Hole’s new website for more badass shows coming up.
- Rick McNulty recently interviewed Tommy Stinson (The Replacements) about performing with English Teeth. That show is tonight at The Continental Club. Catch The Peterson Brothers at 8 p.m., followed by Stinson and the Teef at 10 p.m. Then Grand Champeen closes out at midnight.
- Tomorrow afternoon at ACL Fest, don’t miss the Chief. Chief Cleopatra is on at 12:30 p.m. And (as recommended by the great L.C. Franke) Vlad Holiday is another must-see at 3:25 p.m. Then catch Orville Peck at 4:25 p.m.
