From her debut album Shudders and Rings to her 2013 release Archer, it doesn’t take much for you to figure out that Suzanna Choffel has a beautiful way with words. True, there is a distinctive grace, power and sultry delivery in Choffel’s voice that initially draws you in, but the Austin native has the most exquisite way of capturing heart-wrenching moments with a kind of poetry that defies description.
Choffel will perform tonight with a full band at Lambert’s, 401 W. 2nd St. The bill also features performances by Orlando-based songwriter Emily Kopp, and San Antonio artist Wes Harllee. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. Get there early to see all three. Very recommended.
