If you haven’t heard yet, here’s the scoop: It’s Been There 3: A Party To Support Out Unhoused Neighbors, benefitting The Other Ones Foundation (TOOF), which offers humanitarian aid, case management and low-barrier employment opportunities to people experiencing homelessness.
Today’s benefit show kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at Radio East on Montopolis Dr. It’s an entire day of killer sets by New Orleans funk masters Galactic featuring Jelly Joseph, the phenomenal Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, artist and rapper Chali 2 Na joined by DJ Shub, Austin hip-hop duo Riders Against the Storm, KUTX Artist of the Month alum Grandmaster, blues songwriter/vocalist Carolyn Wonderland, high energy/whiskey-fueled bluegrass outfit Appalachian Dinosaur Exhibit, ATX Grateful Dead tribute band DeadEye, and the TOOF Family Band.
