The Austin Music Minute has raved about the Belcurve crew before, and with good reason; it’s a load of talent in one group. Songwriter and lead vocalist Sarah Castro, gearhead/studio wizard Matt Parmenter (formerly of Quiet Company), master shredder Blue Mongeon (East Cameron Folkcore), drummer Michael “Halftime” Peters and KUTX’s own Deidre Gott rocking percussion/tambourine all add to the mix of sumptuous pop/rock melodies.
Today marks the official release of Belcurve’s single “Hot Mess,” which they’ll celebrate tonight at Cheer Up Charlie’s, 900 Red River. This is one irresistible bill featuring Booher, Slomo Drags and The Gents. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and the music kicks off at 9:30 p.m. Recommended.
