Born Under Saturn

Who: Like their self-titled 2012 debut, Django Django’s latest album Born Under Saturn show’s off their distinctive duality, combining infectious synth melodies and – an unexpected element for those who don’t search for intellectual hues in electronic music – rather thought-provoking observations in their songwriting. Add to that an exploration of a myriad of styles – surf, psych, dance – playing off each other, and it’s a perfect fit.

What: Django Django is on tour in support of Born Under Saturn, and that includes a stop in ATX.

When and where: See them tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the outside stage with Wild Belle on the bill. Doors open at 7 p.m. Then, head to the inside stage afterward to catch He Whose Ox Is Gored, Glassing, and Oro Cassini. The music starts at 10 p.m. Excellent variety for you at the Mohawk this evening. Recommended.
