The Austin Music Minute is supported by Howler Brothers, an Austin-based designer of creative outdoor apparel since 2011.
It’s a cozy spot at 617 Red River St., but some of the most electrifying shows happen there. That Chess Club square footage may be small, but its mighty presence in the local scene amplifies local talent and touring artists on a badass minimal stage. That’s all it takes. The music and crowds do the rest.
Chess Club celebrates its 4-year anniversary with shows tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, with tonight’s line-up featuring Austin post-hardcore outfit Shoganai; Heavy Meddo and Queen Serene are on tomorrow’s bill; and Saturday includes LA synth punks ¿LA PREGUNTA? Doors at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow, 7 p.m. Saturday. Check Chess Club’s website for complete show listings.
