Comin’ Atcha

You heard it on today’s AMM – it’s adventure time. Which, of course, means it’s time to let loose tonight at Beerland, 711 1/2 Red River. Doors open at 9 p.m., and then the madness ensues. You can handle it, right?

-Pile everyone into the nether-dimensional space coaster for this experimental spree. The madness of king 2069 opens the show at 10 p.m. Tell your family later it was all a trippy blur, and no, you didn’t get photos on your stupid iPhone.

-You’re on holiday again. It’s just a matter of which planet this time. Holiday Music delivers an aural feast of don’t-give-a-damn whilst shooting up pop-punk in the psych veins. Look. Your ears are still vibrating.

-Duck, but don’t cover. All the way from Nashville at speeds far exceeding 100 mph (despite their album title), it’s Datenight (featured on today’s AMM), unleashing a blazing fuel-leaking trail of reckless garage-rock/post-punk fury. They’ve still got the lighter, too. It ain’t over ’til it’s over…

-It’s the bedtime story fairy tale of your nightmares. Damn good soundtrack, too. Loafer finishes out the night, nestled in a fresh bed of romaine leaves. No croutons required.

Topsy turvy bippity-boppity-boo a la peanut butter sandwiches. Magic-type words that will turn you into a newt. But then you’ll get better. Recommended.
