Madisons is a big band – a massive band – that’s eight-creatives strong. That includes an upright bass, accordion, banjo and violin in this big ol’ musical family. Somehow, in what could potentially be too many cooks in the kitchen, Madisons whips up an infectious kind of magic with garage-folk fury.
As any band with this much talent, they were inspired to move toward a different direction with their forthcoming album. That’s when they got a countrified bee in their collective bonnet and decided to just go for it. The aptly titled Country Music Sunday!!! is presented with a simpler style, just as infectious, and a bit more twang – just think alt.-country with a Central Texas attitude.
The new album is set for release on January 4th, but chances are you’ll get to hear the new tunes when Madisons perform tomorrow night at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St., at Golden Lights‘ single release show, sharing the bill with The Heavenly States. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Make sure y’all can fit on that stage, now. Very recommended.
