This is your Darkest Sour.
The latest release from one of Austin’s most prolific bands (and recent KUTX After Hours guest), The Sour Notes, is a beautiful contrast of imagery or ideas. Of course, a band with such rich pop sounds also knows how to deftly weave in darker rock riffs and piercing lyrics. The added beauty here is an undeniably optimistic, hopeful voice emerging with a no-bull attitude stripping away the power from negative haters with no lives.
And now, it’s time to party. Celebrate with The Sour Notes at their release show tonight at Hotel Vegas, 1500 E. 6th St. A. Sinclair, Galveston band El Lago, and Duncan Fellows are on the bill. Doors at 9 p.m. So recommended.
