It’s twice as nice. Time for a double release party, with a most exceptional line-up, indeed: Family-style Americana folk quintet The Blackwells and songwriter Christy Hays are in the starring roles. The Blackwells are ready to share their fantastic new LP, the roots-rich Where My Grandparents Lay, while Hays is set to premiere a gorgeous new video for her song “You Don’t Have To Wait” from her fantastic 2012 full-length release Drought.
You can see The Blackwells and Christy Hays perform at their double-release soiree Thursday night at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, on the inside stage. The show features performances by James Hyland & The Joint Chiefs, and starting out the evening is a spectacular opener, Jack Wilson. Doors open at 9 p.m. at the music begins at 10 p.m. This one comes highly recommended.
