Your Austin Music Minute host has mad respect for D-Madness, a multi-talented artist who’s been bringing the funk fest to the ATX for awhile now, but the party’s just started. Not too late to hop on board, baby!
The artist behind the moniker is Dwayne Jackson, whom the Austin Chronicle once dubbed the “Stevie Wonder of Austin” with damn good reason. His performances feature a curated set of drum, bass, keyboard, vocal and percussion loops, often synching up with an impressive array of other talented musicians to create a unique soul/funk/hip-hop/reggae live experience. And now’s your chance to see it for yourself.
D-Madness kicks off his Wednesday night residency tomorrow night at The Far Out Lounge & Stage, 8504 S. Congress Ave. The music kicks off at 9 p.m. Guaranteed to be booty-bouncing HOT. So recommended.
