Yessiree, the Austin Music Minute is positively mad about the mighty triple bill! As you may know, that’s a show that features not one, not two, but three local AMM favorites for you to check out. Tonight’s show at Antone’s is the perfect example:
– Rock ‘n’ roll quartet Western Youth. Pick up a copy of their debut EP, Leaving the Station, for a whole lot of awesomeness pushing alt.-country and Americana above and beyond expectations.
– Austin-based songwriter Christy Hays. Last year, she made her official debut with her first full-length release, Drought, an 11-track collection of beautiful and soulful observations with a brilliant contrast between her no-nonsnese lyrics and oftentimes delicate vocal delivery.
– The sassy and spectacular jazz, blues and twang trio The Love Leighs. Check out their EP Lootbeg – twisted, dark, and oh so delightful.
They all play tonight at Antone’s, 2015 E. Riverside Dr. Doors open early at 7 p.m. Recommended.
