Future Me

Good Field‘s 2012 self-titled debut became an instant fave for your humble Austin Music Minute host, and even made it on my top ten list of albums for 2012. The local quartet, originally the solo recording project of guitarist and vocalist Paul Price, sort of defies any convenient go-to description with their distinctive pop/rock style. There are multiple influences adding so many layers to such melodic, catchy songs.

Their latest release, Future Me, is another brilliant collaboration between Price, bassist Michael McLeod, drummer Esteban Cruz and Kyle Robertson on keys, in addition to White Denim front man James Petralli working extensively with Price on the new album’s final mixes to polish and perfect. And it delivers.

Join Good Field for their album release party tonight at The Parish, 214 E. 6th St., with an excellent line-up that includes The Eastern Sea and Taft. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the music starts at 9 p.m. Recommended.
