The volume is naturally loud. It couldn’t be any other way. And it’s not so much “wall-of-sound” as it is said walls erupting and crashing around you. Thank you for my ringing ears, Ringo Deathstarr. Check out KUTX’s Song of the Day, “Guilt,” also featured on today’s Austin Music Minute. If you haven’t yet picked up last year’s release, Pure Mood, that’s your next homework assignment.
Ringo Deathstarr does a lot of touring, and that includes several spots around the world (there’s damn good reason they’re big in Japan, after touring through there eight times). They’re about to hit the road again, with dates in the East Coast, Canada, Europe and the UK, but not before slaying at a hometown show tonight at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St. It’s a fantastic bill with AMM faves Future Death, Megafauna and Rotten Mangos. Rock, rock, and…oh yes, more rock.
Doors open at 8 p.m. Don’t leave the earplugs at home. So recommended.
