Music is the life blood of this city, so it’s good to step up to the plate and take care of our own. That’s what the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) is all about – providing access to affordable health care for local uninsured musicians, with a focus on preventive care and wellness. Your humble Austin Music Minute maven is always more than happy to spread the good word about HAAM, and today is no exception. Grab your trick ‘o’ treat gear and make way for the 2nd Annual HAAM-o-ween benefit show tonight at Antone’s, 2015 E. Riverside Dr.
This special event was put together with assistance from another great local non-profit, Good Eggs, which helps raise awareness of, and funds for, HAAM, and proudly shows support for Austin musicians. It’s the perfect pairing: Good Eggs & HAAM.
Tonight’s bill includes one of the best damn bunch of outlaw-country hooligans (c’mon now…I say that with love) Crooks, hip-shakin’ soul roots rockers Soul Track Mind, Americana rock/pop dynamic duo The Roosevelts, and mighty funk/soul outfit The Bus Stop Stallions. Take it all in. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the music begins at 8 p.m. Show your support of the local music scene and represent. Recommended.
