If it weren’t for bad luck, he’d have no luck at all. But Hand of God reveals a light at the end of the tunnel…
Hayden Butler harnesses the grit of rock ‘n’ roll and obscure country to unlock the genuine vibes of Hand of God. What he summons as a songwriter sharply pierces several spots in the heart, as if to say: There’s no turning back. Butler’s debut LP is an unflinching look at heartbreak, generational trauma, and life dealing some wretched hands, but despite the bleak outlook, love is the light looming on the ragged horizon.
Catch Butler at his residency show tonight at Sagebrush. His set starts at 8 p.m., followed by Cody Bolden at 10 p.m.
