Todo El Mundo

Following critical praises for three new singles, including the title track featured on today’s AMM, Kiko Villamizar is set to release Todo El Mundo on Feb. 18. Merging the tradition of cumbia and tropical futurism, the album’s overall narrative explores immigration, and the entirety of the earth itself. There’s also a constant internal dialogue examining the necessities of change, personal responsibility, and the struggles of not giving up during the most difficult, tumultuous times. Todo El Mundo translates into “everyone” – the whole world. These emotions are universal, as is the need for hope.

Villamizar’s album release party, originally scheduled for tonight at Antone’s, has been rescheduled to Wednesday March 23, with the line-up including Easy Compadre and PELIGROSA.
