Philadelphia-based synthpop duo KORINE is immersed in both light and shadow on their latest, A Flame In The Dark, mixing pop-punk, new wave and darkwave into a vibe both melancholic and hopeful.
Korine headlines a show tonight at Empire Control Room on E. 7th. Doors at 7 p.m., with a line-up featuring Philadelphia songwriter/producer John Morisi‘s solo project Johnny Dynamite & The Bloodsuckers, and Austin-based artist Alain Paradis‘ electro-pop/new wave outfit Holy Wire.
