LeTrainiump’s “Like We’re In A Movie” vibes with a vibrant ’90s pop/R&B feel.
There’s funk in that drum ‘n’ bass, then it hits with layered ’80s synths and sweetly smooth vocals reeling you onto the dance floor. LeTrainiump Richard started dropping tracks as LeTrainiump in his hometown of New Orleans before bringing his late ’80s/early ‘90s pop and R&B-inspired aesthetic to Austin. There’s no denying the feel of artists like New Edition, Bell Biv DeVoe, Whitney Houston, maybe some TLC and SWV – can we shout out Timex Social Club? – but LeTrainiump builds from these solid foundations to create a style all his own.
