Major Volume

There they are. A big stack of the new self-titled Major Grizz vinyl EP’s are ready to go; carefully spray-painted, screen-printed, labeled, individually numbered and packaged with great care, a D.I.Y. undertaking done especially for the fans. No CD copies, just the magic vinyl touch – ready to blow away speakers at a moment’s notice.

Aaron Blackerby, PJ, Jason De La Rosa and Dan Garza describe their sonic adventures as loud and melodic, made by “the happiest angry rock band you’ve ever heard.” Give the EP a spin and get bowled over with a multitude of those infectious happily-angry hooks, string-splitting shreds and bullet-speed drums. It’s damned fun when angry is this ecstatic.

Don’t miss out on the Major Grizz EP release show tonight at The Sidewinder, 715 Red River. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the bill includes sets by Houston stomp-rocker groove-blasters Sik Mule and AMM fave Ghostbunny. Do not leave the earplugs at home. Major Grizz delivers the  decibels. Recommended.
