More ACL Nights

Today, your Austin Music Minute maven has the best of both worlds:  An official ACL Late Night shindig, and an unofficial nighttime show that just happens to highlight some local artists playing the festival this year. Decisions, decisions!

– First, there’s the official show with songwriter Matthew Houck‘s project Phosphorescent, tonight at Emo’s, 2015 E. Riverside Dr., sharing the bill with JD McPherson and Austin-based artist Shakey Graves. Doors open at 9 p.m. This one will definitely fill up pretty quickly, especially with Shakey Graves opening, so it’s best to get there early. Seriously.

– Another must-see show this evening features My Jerusalem and The Preservation, both of whom are playing ACL Fest this weekend (The Preservation plays Friday at 11:20 a.m. on the Austin Ventures Stage, My Jerusalem on Saturday at noon on the Austin Ventures stage). You can see them tonight at Holy Mountain, 617 E. 7th St. Songwriter Walker Lukens starts out the show. Doors open at 8 p.m. This is definitely what I’d dub as a triple bill. Do it to it.
