MeMerMo Monday presents Geoffrey PB, Anxiety Beat, Skullcaster, and DJ Panda Von tonight at DadaLab.
Today’s AMM-featured track “Universe” is by ambient electronic artist/sound designer Geoffrey PB (Geoff Belcher), an audio professional providing his talents to all manner of visual media, and who also unleashes club beats as FITNEZ. If you knew about this, excellent, you’re steps ahead. But most music lovers appreciate an introduction to off-center or experimental artists they’ve not been exposed to from events like MeMerMo Monday.
Set aside those expectations. This is not your typical show. The weekly avant-garde music series provides endless musical discovery and exploration in the electronic realm, often paired with intriguing visuals. Tonight’s line-up includes performances by Geoffrey PB, musician and visual artist Brent Sluer‘s project Anxiety Beat, multi-instrumentalist Chris Cones‘ descent into gloriously moody deconstruction Skullcaster, and DJ Panda Von to set the perfect vibe, with a visual feast designed by Screen Tears. It’s all tonight at DadaLab, 2008 Alexander Ave. Doors at 7 p.m.
