The track featured on today’s AMM, “Waiting All Day” from Motenko‘s self-titled EP, encapsulates the ongoing love letter that songwriter/vocalist/musician Micah Motenko pens to the sounds of Motown, which made a huge impression upon Motenko during his formative years, and remains his number one influence to this day. The roots of this infatuation run deep and wide, covering everything from 70’s-era R&B to soul, funk, and the celebratory spirit of New Orleans Second Line.
