You may have heard your Austin Music Minute maven refer to them as “the band formerly known as Teevee.” For Wurve, it’s been a royal pain in the butt doing the name-change thing, with certain social media outlets not cooperating with the change and making life difficult. But you can’t stop the music. Wurve remains a heavy neo-psych/fuzzed-up badass powerhouse, maybe even more so.
Don’t miss out on Wurve’s set tonight at Cheer Up Charlie’s, 901 Red River. They’re joined by Minneapolis-based fuzz/drone psychsters The Cult of Lip, and San Antonio dream-pop duo PROCESSIONS.
